This is a fun and colorful task to help students fill customer orders.
Students also learn shapes, colors, and following directions.

Finally Getting Back to Business

Hello All!

I am just now getting back to business and posting before the new year ends.  I had an accident a couple of weeks ago and dislocated my elbow...my right arm of course!

During my first couple of weeks I was not able to really type well or write.  I kind of slacked on keeping in touch. During this time I have been able to reflect on just what having a disability means even though mine is temporary. I have really been counting my blessings and learning to adapt the way we ask our students to do on a daily basis in the classroom.

I feel that I will have more patience and understanding because of my time spent in my arm brace. I no what it means to have limits and learning how to overcome them.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and I wish you all well in the coming New Year!!

Preparing for the Holidays

Thanksgiving and Christmas are just around the corner. Where does the time go? When these holidays come around I really enjoy the extra time to spend with family and friends. I also like creating products for the holidays. Here are some products that I have added to my store for the students to enjoy.

 

Cookie Order Task

Helping students learn about customer service and following orders is one of the things we do during our pre-vocational time in the classroom. Here is a visual of a product I have put together to help students learn to fill customer orders. Students fill individual cookie orders by looking at the numbered order cards, finding the matching cookies, and placing them in the corresponding numbered cookie envelopes.

Subs and Pizzeria

New vocational task that teaches students how to fill customer sub sandwich orders. All ingredients are made from real photos to give the students more of a realistic experience. Quiet Book Matching Pages

I just put together some fun quiet book pages. The pages include pictures of five room with furniture outlines and the same five rooms without. There are 33 items to place inside the rooms that are color visuals and are matched with the black outlines on the pages. Simply bind the pages together and you have a great quiet book for matching and also would work well with a speech therapy session having the students say the names of the items as they place them on the pages. The New School Year

Another school year is rapidly approaching. I can't believe how quickly the time goes each summer.
I have worked hard over the summer creating for the students and accomplishing goals for my self. The biggest goal was opening my TpT store. It has been such a blessing and I have had so much fun creating and talking to other store owners through the Seller's Forum. The other educators and publishers are so helpful and friendly.
