Grocery Item Task Box

The grocery task box is something that can be adjusted to different learning levels. You can use the task as shown to simply match the products that are labeled on each shelf or you can make it more challenging by making up grocery lists that correspond to the items that you have chosen to print off. Make several lists, have student find the items already on the shelves, then have them add up their grocery bill. In order to do this, you will need to write a price for each item on the back of the printed out picture. As with all tasks, make sure and laminate before using so they will last.

Ice Cream Shop Task Box

Creating vocational tasks can be easy and made with little cost. The task shown is to help students learn how to follow orders by using the order cards to match ice cream flavors to cups or cones. To be successful, it is important to give visuals that are easy to follow to match the names on the order cards.

Word Recognition Task Box

This is one of the new tasks we are using to help with word recognition. Beads are placed on pipe cleaners to match the word cards. This task helps with fine motor skills and visual recognition.

Technology Quote

As technology becomes more of a tool in the classroom today, I think it is important to remember that it is just that...a tool. Here is a quote that I truly believe, "Technology is just a tool. In terms of getting the kids working together And motivating them, the teacher is much more important than the tool." Bill Gates
